We have a rare & exciting opportunity to join us as a Head of Multinational. Working in partnership with colleagues across the Commercial division, the wider Corporation and Market, you will lead the Lloyd's multinational delivery capability & network governance to enable policies to be written at Lloyd's cost effectively and enhance our value proposition to customers and stakeholders. The role will own the full delivery and oversight of Lloyd's Multinational service framework for existing and new market participants. Current multinational premium into Lloyd's is estimated at $3B. Multiple disciplines will report into this role including established teams, and a service organization as yet to be formed, and a matrix relationship across the Lloyd's General Rep and general agents' community. You will be accountable for; Leading the approach, design, delivery and implementation of Multinational Capability initiative as a key strategic lever within the Commercial Strategy Leadership of strategic and programme objectives across programme delivery team and associated Subject Matter Experts including presentation of strategic options to Council / ExCo Partner with Global Network stakeholders to formulate global perspectives from a broad customer base and using these to shape approach. Responsible for scoping potential solutions aimed at maximising impact for MAs and addressing customer needs. Engaging and collaborating with senior stakeholders and SMEs within Corporation and the Lloyd's market including Managing Agents, Brokers, Market and Customer Associations to understand, shape and validate potential multinational solutions. Set strategy, scope, co-ordinate and drive market engagement activity including Market Working Group and broader market participant community to achieve desired insight and input into future capability options Act as expert focal point to increase market profile and engagement and strengthen support from key market partners. Deploy own specialist expertise to input, challenge and shape proposed options and the benefits case. Partner and collaborate with Function leaders and their nominated SMEs in Corporation to understand requirements, explore options, assess impact and ensure proposed solutions are aligned with Functional requirements and market participant insight. Accountable for development and presentation of options and execution of approved approach. The development of Lloyd's multinational proposition approach and communications strategy Ownership of proposition development to enhance current offering through development of target. Responsible for alignment and validation of proposition activity with Lloyd's and international regulatory compliance requirements Accountable for development of communication strategy to deliver clear, consistent messaging to market participants and internal stakeholders. The provision of expertise / insight into the development of multinational best practice in the context of the Lloyd's market working with other specialist practitioners within Lloyd's functions. Design and develop Lloyd's knowledge base on multinational capability through awareness, training programmes and upskilling of teams supporting the initiative. Partnering with Market Participants and Corporation experts to develop in-depth understanding of key MJ / MN features and challenges in Lloyd's context to inform future options. Accountable for delivery of market guidance and development of best practice guidance on multinational together with any associated training delivery Leading the adherence to regulatory and compliance framework and raising strategic awareness to the Global Governance Model You will be responsible for leading the team of central and virtual experts promoting the importance of implementing excellence across the Global Network and developing the required skills and capabilities to deliver this, and act as a liaison and facilitation role between the 1st /2nd /3rd line teams and the Regional teams. Responsible for ensuring team compliance with all applicable legal/regulatory/compliance policies and processes and overseeing the undertaking of quarterly QA review of team knowledge and understanding of these policies and their personal accountability, identifying skill/knowledge gaps and building a plan to mitigate this. Working in partnership with the 2nd and 3rd line teams you will oversee the development of the required oversight capabilities to optimise compliance with Corporation governance principles and risk and regulatory operating practices such as One Risk Framework and the Regulatory Engagement policy. Responsible for building an awareness of all projects and initiatives across Markets which could have an impact on the Global governance model. The role holder is expected to: Contribute to an open and transparent culture of risk management and demonstrate a strong awareness of the risks that should be managed within the responsibilities of the role; and Deliver responsibilities in line with all relevant risk appetites, policies, reporting and when applicable, as a full-time member of the Global Leadership team. Direct Leadership responsibility for two teams (Head of Network Optimization& Head of Global Network Central Team) at the outset, in addition to an anticipated service organization and multiple matrix alignments Role requires core leadership skills such as negotiation, influencing, effectively managing stakeholder relationships, including at senior levels (including C suite) both within the organisation and external stakeholder engagement. Skills Proven ability to operate, influence and negotiate at a senior level (including c suite) within and across matrix organisations. Excellent problem solving and decision-making capability. Strong analytical capability. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships - using these to deliver the optimum project outcome, and speedy resolution of issues impacting delivery. Excellent presentation skills capability, with experience of delivering targeted messaging to inform and influence a variety of audiences. Experience of delivering a large-scale improvement programme within a Global environment which impact multiple stakeholder groups. Knowledge Extensive knowledge of global insurance markets, regulatory environments, and multinational best practice Knowledge of how to operate in a global environment and how multinational business infrastructures function. Knowledge of the commercial re/insurance market, insurance company functions, process and risk management preferably gained within the Lloyd's market. Knowledge of best practice project delivery methodologies and successful project governance principles Experience In-depth technical knowledge of multinational insurance best practice. Proven ability to operate/challenge/communicate at a Senior Management/Executive level within an organisation. Substantial experience in managing organisations and people in a fast-paced change environment. Knowledge and experience of a financial services industry, or an industry which operates in a highly regulated environment. Proven experience of delivering comprehensive training solutions across teams with varied capability. Extensive project management experience in a business change context - specifically in delivering change in a complex matrix environment across Global business teams.
