The main purpose of the role is to take the final printed rolls and perform the final quality control and finishing functions, preparing the roll to Customer Packing Specifications for final shipment to the customers. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Locate correct printed reels/ product for inspection relating to individual job cards for inspection along with Print Proofs, Cores, Packaging items and create id Labelling. Thread web through machine following correct route, set blades for slitting web to finishing spec. Setting of clock / counter for final Reelage. Setting of machine tensions for specific materials using controls. Using strobe light, visual checks & print fault flags remove waste & poor-quality print Carry out Inspection, Slitting, and rewind of reels to final finishing spec as per job cards correctly identifying core size required. Monitor quality and consistency of product, identifying and removing all non-conforming products, set up and in-process waste, placing into provided bins. Packaging of finished reels for dispatch, including marking all boxes with ID Codes, Number of Rolls and Reelage, to specification detailed on the job ticket. Responsible for correct packing for transportation, minimizing possibility of damage during transport. Ensuring that all operations are carried out and complete necessary paperwork /Job cards completed to ISO standards as outlined in company manuals. Operate fully the 100% inspection unit/AVT System when rewinding product. Responsibly add operator comments in a professional manner to Tharstern if required. Working to strict deadlines whilst maintaining quality control. Responsible for checking off other rewind inspector s 1st off reels. Daily checking of guards. Maintenance of Blades. Calibrate machine to correct core size as cutting. Cutting cores using the Parkland TC Core Cutter.
