The job function is to carry out multi-skilled Maintenance tasks. The role would require the skills of an experienced maintenance type of person with a bias to mechanical but electrical will be considered with relevant mechanical experience. The work involves a range of preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance as required. In addition, it is required to be proactive in driving improvements in maintenance methods and techniques in keeping with known standards of quality, safety and hygiene. Diagnostic trouble shooting and problem analysis are essential skills. The role works closely with the production team, so the role requires good communication skills to ensure that daily goals are achieved. In addition to this the role entails ensuring that the equipment is set optimally and that the IT interfaces are functional. Furthermore, there will be a requirement to assist the engineering manager in supervision of external contractors.
