The role is based out of their Glasgow office butwill be heavily based on customer site in Scotland. You will be the goto person for all UX-related needs and will become part of some enormousgreenfield projects. This role is crucial to their 2017 end of yearrecruitment drive...Why?Well that part is simple.They, like other successful custome-centric businesses, realise that UXis crucial to how an organisation's products and services engage withtheir customer base.Joining an existing team of UX Designers, as Lead UX Designer you'll betasked with solving a range of complex problems, whilst helping definethe standards and frameworks to be used by the team. You will beexpected to bring visions to life, working with Software Engineers andProduct Owners to create new and exciting ways of improving UX acrossthe board for your customer. The UX team work across different sectors rather than being in just one(e.g. Commercial, Finance, Government), so you will be given theopportunity to move between projects, giving you a lot of variety withinthe role. You will take up a leadership position, leading a team of 4-8Designers at any given time.You will work with a range of external stakeholders, helping themunderstand the important of UX throughout the project lifecycle and willbe on-site to help field any questions and guide them as and when necessary. It goes without saying that you will have a strong portfolio ofworkdemonstrating your considerable understanding of UX, highlightingyourimpressing wireframing experience (ideally detailedhigh-fidelitywireframing) and strong prototyping skills. But ultimatelyit is yourresearch skills, sketching, and mock ups of digital userexperiencesthat set you apart from the crowd. Moreover, you will be a strategic thinker and somebody who cancontribute new ideas rather than simply improve existing ideas. You willbe somebody with a portfolio's full of modern, smart, responsive, Mobileand Desktops designs, showcasing your best work and demonstrating whyyou would be an excellent fit for this role. You should have excellent experience with the Adobe Creative Suite(Dreamweaver, Creative Cloud, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.) as well asknowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You will have experience ofdesigning to framework libraries like Bootstrap, Foundation or Skeletonand ultimately have a passion for all things technology.You will be given the opportunity to take up a leadership role within akey UK-based customer and will be given creative freedom and autonomy tomanage the UX function of the prokect.
