We're looking for a Software Engineer in Test (SEiT) to join our Gaming Services squad in the Gaming Tribe. This squad is a key part of the tribe in delivering services and components which gaming portals may interact with, including Admin Systems, APIs and Jackpot Feeds to mention a few. The squad is also responsible for the maintenance of such components once they hit production environments so a strong sense of pride and ownership throughout the SDLC is essential. What you will do… Facilitate the creation and running of test automation packs against multiple services/components/environments. Improve the confidence of delivered components by competing high quality test analysis and execution. Ensure the reliability and upkeep of our test and staging environments, and champion their use throughout the test phase of any project. Create monitoring and alerting tools within the test and staging environments where this adds value and increases 'up time'. How you will do it… Work as part of a team of analysts, engineers and testers focused on the delivery of products in alignment with key business areas, supporting the tribes long term technology strategies. Work alongside other SEiTs and test engineers from across the tribe, to produce larger initiatives and drive a higher standard of test capability. Balance the need to provide test automation on new products being developed by your team against that of retrofitting test automation into an existing catalogue of products. Demonstrate care for the security and integrity of the data that passes through your products, as well as the portability, scalability and maintainability. They are focussed in dealing with the technical aspects of getting a release from development to production; they are the ones that keep the continuous integration and continuous delivery conveyor belts moving! They are diligent at making sure version control is applied to the correct code sets in different environments and develop automated configuration tests DevOps Engineer (Norwich) - Our DevOps Engineers are responsible for developing and facilitating the improvement and optimisation of our software engineering practices and processes to speed up and automate the development, testing and release of our code to production. Where you'll be based: We offer Software Development Graduate roles in our Norwich, York, Bristol, Perth offices. Not all roles are available in every location so see above which can be based where. About you To join us as a Graduate, you'll: Already have a degree, in any subject, or you will be graduating this year Have at least five GCSEs or Scottish National 5s at A*-C or 9-4 grade (or equivalent), including English and Maths For the Software Engineer and DevOps roles you will also need coding experience - whether as a part of your studies or as an outside passion through self-learning. We'll ask you to complete an online code test as part of our selection process for these roles For Release Engineer roles you don't need to have coding experience, but a willingness to learn is essential You should also be a confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a love of learning and a commitment to continually developing yourself. And it goes without saying that we'll be looking to see that you have a genuine interest in technology. What will you get for this role?
