Your new role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimise mechanical systems for wastewater treatment plants. Your responsibilities will include designing mechanical components, equipment, and systems that meet project requirements and industry standards. You will utilizing 3D modelling software (such as SolidWorks) to create detailed designs and simulations. As part of your role you will evaluate materials for durability, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness. Working closely with project managers, process engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless implementation. You will be expected to conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and performance evaluations. It is important that you ensure designs adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines. What you'll need to succeed To excel in this role, you should possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar and have proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the wastewater treatment sector. We are looking for strong skills in 3D modelling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.). Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
